CANADIAN WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHER WITH A GREAT PASSION AND RESPECT FOR NATURE

We cannot continue to push nature at the current rate. We need nature and nature needs our respect.”

-Jason Leo Bantle on our relationship with our wild places.

Jason's Bio

JASON'S BEGINNINGS

Jason’s career in photography began while he was conducting biological research on several species of carnivore, including foxes, skunks, coyotes and wolves. He went on to complete his Master of Science degree with a research project on the arctic fox in Canada’s central arctic region.

This beautiful, remote region stirred in him a desire to share its splendour with others. Since then, Jason has travelled extensively across Canada in an attempt to capture the beauty that this country has to offer.

Some of his favourite areas to photograph, besides the arctic, are northern Saskatchewan and the mountains of Alberta, where Jason spends most of his time. All of Jason’s photographs are from Canada and Alaska and reflect his love of nature and his desire to share this passion with others.

ECO-GUIDE AND EDUCATOR

Over the years Jason has shared his knowledge and love of nature with others. He worked as an eco-guide, leading people on trips to see and photograph polar, grizzly, and black bears as well as beluga and orca whales. His background in carnivore research for his degree and teaching biology courses allowed Jason to educate and inform guests as they experienced these amazing, beautiful animals.

FIND JASON'S ART AND HEAR HIS STORIES

By 2005, Jason wanted to share his art in a beautiful setting and opened a gallery just outside Prince Albert National Park at Christopher Lake, Saskatchewan. Meeting people and interacting with his loyal collectors enticed him to open five other galleries over the next years. Today, Jason's art can be found in six All in the Wild Art Galleries: the original at Christopher Lake plus Waskesiu and Saskatoon in Saskatchewan, Canmore and Banff, Alberta, and Niagara on the Lake, Ontario.

Jason visits each gallery often and enjoys meeting people and sharing the stories of his many adventures with them. At every gallery, through his art, his conservation efforts and through his stories, Jason strives to stir in others an appreciation of Canada’s nature, thereby aiding in its preservation.

LOVE AND RESPECT NATURE

To Jason, the most important choices we make are the choices to be environmentally conscious in every aspect of our lives: at home, at work, and at play.

"if we could all live on less, we can all live on more’

-Jason Leo Bantle
